A safety barrier is a part of a machine which helps prevent a trackway into a dangerous area. It is commonly used to avoid the risks of accidents. Safety barriers may be hard barriers that are physically restricting a passage or it may be a soft barrier that controls circuits based on the presence of foreign bodies.

At Southern Dock Products, a division of Duraserv, we have three types of loading dock impact barriers namely Dock Guard Safety Lip, APS Bollard Pole and APS Dock Impact Barrier.

  • Dock Guard Safety Barrier Lip
  • The dock guard safety barrier lip gives protection to personnel, goods and equipment from rolling out of the dock accidentally. This kind of safety impact barriers is most useful in keeping the truck lift safely on the leveler and when it is used below the dock end loading conditions. This type of impact barrier is operated manually using a gate style barrier. The APS dock impact barrier is opened by releasing the latch and lifting the gate into an upright position with few efforts when dock use is required.
